A premier skeet and trap club located in the Midwest just got better! On Monday, April 18th, Peoria Skeet and Trap (East Peoria, IL) completed installation of upgraded equipment on all 10 of its skeet fields. Top of the line Laporte Traps were installed courtesy of a collaboration between Peoria Skeet and Trap and a new Midwest glamping and fly-fishing destination, Sankoty Lakes resort.
Sankoty Lakes owner and local philanthropist, Kim Blickenstaff, donated the capital to acquire this upgraded equipment. The investment will position Peoria Skeet and Trap as an ideal host for large meets and national tournaments in the heart of the Midwest. With only a mile between the two properties, Blickenstaff sees a unique opportunity for the Sankoty Lakes guests to enjoy shooting events at Peoria Skeet and Trap and likewise, shooters can take advantage of the lodging and dining offerings at Sankoty Lakes.
