His talent has landed him spots opening for the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Journey and other rock favorites! Curry’s skillful mix of rock, blues, and old school country creates a unique sound that draws people of all ages! The Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts and the Scottish Rite Theatre are partnering with the Fogelberg Foundation of Peoria to present this special weekend of events! Kick the weekend off Friday, September 30th at the Betty Jayne as they host Fogelberg: Home Free. The evening will be led by a talented group of performers playing your Fogelberg favorites! The Betty’s classy yet casual atmosphere is the perfect place to gather prior to the main event, Dan Fogelberg: Native Son.

Native Son is a staged concert with performances both Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd at The Scottish Rite Theatre in downtown Peoria. An ensemble cast of singers and dancers joins a 12-piece band to perform over 30 iconic Dan Fogelberg songs! This special tribute honors the timeless music of Dan Fogelberg on the 50th anniversary of his debut album. The theatrical combination of storytelling, music, and dance will introduce a new generation to the musical legacy of Dan Fogelberg and re-inspire old friends of Dan's music. Tickets for both events go on sale May 16, 2022!

Join us at the Betty Jayne for Sunday Salutations! Fresh air will fill the Betty as the instructor leads participants through a one-hour yoga class. Each class will be followed by a cocktail hour giving participants time to enjoy some cocktails and community.

Taste it Tuesday will be an evening of cocktails, tastings, light hors d’oeuvres and live music. A guest bartender will demonstrate how to make three unique cocktails, and patrons will get the chance to sample each of them! These cocktails will also be served at the bar for the rest of the evening!

A premier skeet and trap club located in the Midwest just got better! On Monday, April 18th, Peoria Skeet and Trap (East Peoria, IL) completed installation of upgraded equipment on all 10 of its skeet fields. Top of the line Laporte Traps were installed courtesy of a collaboration between Peoria Skeet and Trap and a new Midwest glamping and fly-fishing destination, Sankoty Lakes resort.

The Peoria Skeet & Trap Club (PS&T), recognized as one of the premier Skeet and Trap clay target shooting clubs in the Midwest, is pleased to announce the planned installation of new, internationally recognized, Laporte® skeet traps on all ten fields at their East Peoria, IL facility this spring.

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Kim Blickenstaff is giving another $1 million to the Peoria Women’s Club for renovations on the landmark building that houses the historic organization, bringing his total contribution to the effort to more than $1.5 million.
