The Manhattan Transfer’s carefully crafted sound seamlessly incorporates pop, jazz, R&B, rock and roll, swing, symphonic, and a cappella music. The band is known as the cornerstone of contemporary music and was originally launched by Tim Hauser in 1969. By 1972, the group included Hauser, Alan Paul, Janis Siegel and Laurel Masse. They made their recording debut with their self-titled album in 1975, and the rest is history.
